My Experience

After obtaining a BA in English Language and Visual Art from the University of Chicago, I proudly received professional appellation from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), a testament to my commitment to industry standards and excellence. Over the years, I have worked closely with and been trained by architects, other interior designers, and builders to master industry processes and standards. View my work here.

My Journey

I honed my skills as a practicing artist before transitioning into the design side of the auction and gallery world in 2013. There I worked intimately with collectible furnishings, decor, fine art, and other treasures, and struck a niche in the world of 20th century modern design. I later pivoted into interior work, focusing on large-scale commercial builds before finding my true calling in luxury residences.

My Style

I specialize in the unique, the curious, the eclectic, and the bespoke. With a keen eye and modern sensibility, I can cater fluently and fluidly to any taste. My practice is rooted in a balanced approach that connects holistically with each and every client narrative. Together, we create spaces that delight, inspire, and empower.

My Approach

My deep understanding of design history, methods, and materials sets me apart. I source unique items from eclectic places, and my artistic background influences a distinctive approach to color, texture, and visual narrative. I have a knack for craft, and this saturates everything I do.

I'm not just a designer; I'm also a doula. This enriches my ability to empathize, support, and creatively problem-solve – qualities that shine through in every project. In each step of the design process, the client is a closely integrated companion. Together, we are discovering and prioritizing aspects of their story at the forefront.

I stay ahead of design trends through professional memberships with groups like ASID and PowerHouse Smart. I subscribe to publications such as Architectural Digest, Dwell, House Beautiful, and Modern Luxury Interiors. And, I draw inspiration from collaboration with colleagues and a vast network of fellow designers and tradespeople.

My Community

In addition to working closely with fellow designers, I’ve also cultivated a tight knit community of fabricators, makers, tradespeople, and other contractors to bring our designs to life with expert skill and flourish. These partnerships also extend to the relationships I establish with my clients.

My Location

I have studios in Chicago, Illinois, and in Libertyville, Illinois. I proudly serve Northern Illinois and the greater Midwest region. I am also available for remote work when the fit is right.
